Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm was the final expansion to the original Dawn of War, adding the Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar factions. The planetary campaign spanned multiple worlds, with air units adding new tactical dimensions. All nine factions could compete in the expanded strategic campaign.
The Sisters of Battle brought faith-based mechanics and distinctive units to the game, while the Dark Eldar offered hit-and-run tactics and slave-taking abilities. The air units added strategic options for harassment and support across factions.
The strategic campaign challenged players to conquer multiple planets, managing resources and armies across a sector. The expanded scale created longer campaigns with more strategic decisions.
Soulstorm represented the final word on Dawn of War's first generation, bringing the faction count to nine. While some balance issues existed, the scope and variety made it a fitting conclusion to the original trilogy.
