Space Hulk: Deathwing

Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first-person shooter developed by Streum On Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. Released in 2016, the game offers a completely new perspective on the claustrophobic horror corridors of a Space Hulk. Players become a Dark Angels Librarian who explores the massive shipwreck Olethros with his squad, where Genestealers lurk in every corner.

The gameplay combines tactical squad command with intense first-person action. The Librarian can use psychic powers while his squad carries heavy weapons and melee specialists. The atmosphere is suffocating, with labyrinthine corridors marked by gothic architecture and alien corruption.

The cooperative mode for up to four players is the highlight. Progressing together through the darkness while Genestealers attack from every angle creates intense moments. The different classes complement each other, and coordination proves essential for survival.

Deathwing received mixed reviews due to technical problems and repetitive gameplay, but found a fanbase through its atmospheric co-op mode. The Enhanced Edition improved the game significantly after the rocky launch.
