Space Hulk: Ascension is a turn-based tactics game developed by Full Control and released in 2014. The game serves as an expanded version of Space Hulk (2013), adding RPG elements, new chapters, and deeper gameplay. Blood Angels are now joined by Ultramarines and Space Wolves in the fight against Genestealer infestations.

The gameplay retains the tactical core while adding progression systems. Terminators gain experience and new abilities over campaigns. Equipment can be customized for different tactical situations. The campaigns are longer and more narratively rich than in the base game.

Three Chapters with their own campaigns offer substantial content. The new mechanics make the game more accessible without sacrificing tactical depth. The permadeath option maintains tension while offering players choice in difficulty.

Ascension was viewed as the superior Space Hulk adaptation. The additional features transformed the board game into a fully-fledged video game experience that works without tabletop knowledge, while still satisfying veterans of the original.
