Space Hulk (2013)

Space Hulk (2013) is a turn-based tactics game developed by Full Control. Released in 2013, the game returned as a faithful digital board game adaptation that brought the tabletop experience to PC. Blood Angels Terminators once again cleanse the corrupted corridors of a Space Hulk from Genestealer infestation.

The gameplay adapts the board game exactly. Action points, Overwatch, and the deadly close combat rules are identical to the original. 3D graphics visualize the abstract board game actions with animations and effects, bringing the tactical decisions to life.

The campaign encompasses the classic board game missions from the original set. The hotseat multiplayer allows players to control both sides—Terminators or Genestealers—in local competitive matches. The dice decide life and death just as in the tabletop game.

Space Hulk 2013 received praise for its faithfulness but criticism for lack of innovation beyond the source material. Fans of the board game found a solid digital version, while newcomers sometimes found the strict adherence to tabletop rules off-putting.
