Total War: Warhammer III

Total War: Warhammer III is a turn-based strategy and real-time tactics game developed by Creative Assembly and published by SEGA. Released in February 2022, it completes the epic trilogy and brings the daemon factions of all four Chaos Gods, along with Kislev and Cathay, to players. The campaign leads into the Realms of Chaos itself, on a quest for the imprisoned bear god Ursun.

Each Chaos God receives their own playable faction with unique mechanics. Khorne rewards aggressive bloodshed, Nurgle spreads plagues and decay, Tzeentch manipulates through magic and intrigue, and Slaanesh seduces and corrupts. The Daemons of Chaos faction even allows players to create their own Daemon Prince and combine aspects of all four gods.

Kislev and Cathay represent world premieres—factions never fully defined in Warhammer Fantasy before. Games Workshop worked closely with Creative Assembly to develop these cultures. Kislev brings Russian-inspired ice bears and Kossars, while Cathay introduces Chinese dragons and Terracotta warriors to the battlefield.

The Immortal Empires campaign unites all three games into the ultimate Warhammer Fantasy experience with over 80 Legendary Lords and the entire known world. Despite initial criticism of the main campaign, the game has developed through continuous updates into the definitive Warhammer strategy game and a worthy conclusion to a legendary trilogy.
