Warhammer: Battle for Atluma

Warhammer: Battle for Atluma is a collectible card game released in 2006 for the PlayStation Portable. Developed by Starbreeze Studios, the game brings Warhammer Fantasy warfare to handheld devices through strategic card battles. Players collect cards representing warriors, spells, and equipment from the Old World's many factions to build powerful decks.

The gameplay features card-based combat where armies clash on a virtual battlefield. Players draw cards representing units and deploy them strategically against opponents. Different factions including the Empire, Chaos, Orcs, and Undead each have unique cards with distinct abilities and playstyles. Victory requires both building effective decks and making smart tactical decisions during matches.

The single-player campaign takes players through battles across the Old World, collecting new cards as rewards for victories. Each faction's cards reflect their lore and fighting style, from Empire soldiers and war machines to Chaos daemons and corrupted champions. Multiplayer allows players to test their deck-building skills against each other via ad-hoc wireless connection.

Battle for Atluma represents an early attempt to bring collectible card game mechanics to the Warhammer Fantasy franchise in video game form. The PSP's portable nature made it accessible for quick card battles while maintaining strategic depth in deck construction and match play.
