Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Soul Arena

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Soul Arena is an auto-battler strategy game released in 2021 by Trophy Games. The game adapts the popular auto-chess format to the Mortal Realms, with players building teams of heroes and units that fight automatically against opponents. Strategic decisions focus on team composition, positioning, and upgrade paths rather than direct combat control.

The gameplay follows the auto-battler template where players purchase units from a shared pool during preparation phases, then watch their armies fight opponents. Between rounds, players can reposition units, combine duplicates for upgrades, and sell underperforming pieces for gold. Synergies between unit types reward cohesive team-building strategies, while item combinations enhance individual unit performance.

Heroes and units from across the Age of Sigmar factions appear as playable pieces. Stormcast Eternals, Nighthaunt, Orruk Warclans, and other factions bring unique abilities and synergy bonuses. The fantasy setting translates well to the auto-battler format, with magical abilities and monster attacks creating visually dynamic combat sequences.

Soul Arena offers bite-sized competitive matches that test strategic planning and adaptation skills. The game provides auto-battler fans with Warhammer-themed content while introducing Age of Sigmar characters to players who enjoy the genre.
