Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy will come from the creators of Rogue Trader as a new CRPG set in the dark underbelly of the Imperium. Developed and published by Owlcat Games, players will serve the Inquisition as Acolytes, rooting out heresy and corruption across the galaxy in investigations that test faith and sanity alike.

The gameplay will draw upon Owlcat's experience with deep role-playing mechanics. Players will create characters from various Imperial backgrounds, from hive-world scum to administratum adepts, each bringing unique skills to investigations. The focus will shift from the freedom of a Rogue Trader to the dangerous work of Inquisitorial agents operating in the shadows.

The narrative will explore the darker corners of the 40K universe. Players will investigate cults, pursue heretics, and confront horrors that threaten the Imperium from within. Choices will carry weight, as the line between heresy and necessity often blurs in service to the Inquisition. Companions will be fellow acolytes with their own secrets and loyalties.

Dark Heresy will adapt the beloved tabletop RPG system for the digital medium.
