Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior is a first-person shooter developed by Kuju Entertainment and published by THQ. Released in 2003, it was one of the first Warhammer 40K FPS games and told its story from the rare Tau perspective. Shas'la Kais, a young Fire Warrior, becomes embroiled in a conflict spanning the Imperium, Chaos, and dark secrets.

The gameplay was solid console shooter standard for its time. Tau weapons like Pulse Rifles and Rail Rifles felt different from their Imperial counterparts. Levels led through various environments, from Imperial ships to Chaos-corrupted worlds.

The story was surprisingly complex, written by Warhammer author Simon Spurrier. Voice acting by Sean Pertwee and Tom Baker gave the game character. The Tau perspective on the Imperium and Chaos offered a refreshingly different viewpoint on the 40K universe.

Fire Warrior received mixed reviews—as a shooter it was average, but as a Warhammer experience it had charm. The Tau perspective and story made it unique. It remains the only Tau-centric Warhammer game to date.
