Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is a real-time tactical game developed by Tindalos Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. Released in 2016, the game brought epic space battles to the Warhammer 40K universe during the 12th Black Crusade. Players command Imperial Navy fleets against Chaos, Orks, and Eldar as Abaddon the Despoiler threatens the Gothic Sector.

The real-time tactics gameplay offers strategic depth with various ship types and abilities. Battleships are powerful but slow, cruisers are versatile, and escorts are fast but fragile. Special abilities like ramming maneuvers, boarding actions, and Nova Cannons add tactical options that can turn the tide of battle in crucial moments.

The campaign tells a gripping story with Admiral Spire as protagonist, who must make difficult decisions between duty and survival. The loss of experienced ships hurts as fleets develop over the course of the campaign. Multiplayer battles offer competitive long-term engagement with ranking systems and various modes for different playstyles.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada earned praise for its atmosphere and tactical gameplay. The gothic battleships, the vastness of space, and the dramatic engagements perfectly capture the Warhammer feel. It established a successful series of space tactical games and proved that void warfare could translate effectively to video games.
