Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon is a turn-based strategy game developed by Flashback Games and published by Slitherine. Released in 2014, the game brings the legendary wars for the planet Armageddon to life. The Second War for Armageddon, where Commissar Yarrick fought against Ghazghkull Thraka's Ork hordes, becomes the setting for hex-based tactical combat.

The gameplay is based on the Panzer General system with hex fields and detailed unit statistics. Steel Legion, Space Marines, and their allies fight against endless Ork waves. Each unit gains experience that persists across battles, creating attachment to veteran formations.

The campaign encompasses the entire history of the Second Armageddon War. From the first Ork landings to the final confrontation, dozens of scenarios offer historical battles from the lore. DLCs added further battles and the Vulkan's Hive campaign.
